Me and 4 of my friends, Rara, Ichi, Dhini, and Iqro decided to spent the other 7 days for road trip to Penang-KL-Melacca! You have to try those dude!! its pretty cool!! for whole 10days i spent less than 3 million IDR! include everything we need and shopping of course! but Iqro could spent just 1,5million! without shopping fyi! he was really budget traveller! here are some beautiful pictures that can tell you how much fun i had when a road trip with my 24-hours-mates! oo miss them damn much, hope we can make it for next trip! I had a lot of fun here! My tips if you wanna have trip here:
1. Hunt a cheap ticket at
airasia or
tigerairways !! u dont have to get a return ticket for same airways, combine them, and ull get the cheapest one! for airasia promo, u can get it a year-2months before! for tiger promo, u can get it till a month before!
2.the biggest spent is for hostel! the cheapest one is 16$/person but is rare! so make sure u've already booked by internet before! the area for budget hostel is Little India!
3.less public transportation, more walking! Singapore is small! trust me, u can walk everywhere u want safety and have a fun experience! besides you can see the many beautiful contemporary architecture, you can save much money, cus bus is expensive and mrt is so much more!
Penang
Nasi Kandar! Superb big portion! its like 8RM (24,000IDR) we ate it for 5 persons!
Tips here:
1.You can get here by bus from singapore/KL, but please bargain!!
2. The cheapest budget hostel area is at Chinese area, Love lane surrounding . Ive got a room for 5 person, only 7RM (Air Conditioner)!
3. Browse for sightseeing first! theres many cool place that we havent visited yet, poor us :(
Kuala Lumpur
Tips here:
not as much as before, cus i think this town is less of sight seeing, quiet boring for me! just a city with less culture and architecture, no offense dude! But ive got verrry beery cheap body butter (body shop) here! yeah the branded things is much more cheaper here than Jakarta! If u wanna get a budget hostel just go to Petaling, their chinese town.
Melacca
This is the most interesting place that i visited for this road trip! The culture is as much as Penang, but its more treated! my tips, u have to be here at weekend then go to Jonkor Street! i love the crowded :D
